Hi, I’m Alexis

My role as a Marriage and Family Therapist fills me with joy. My greatest passion is helping people connect to themselves and their needs so they can feel alive and well. I specialize in the areas of teen and young adult issues, neuro-developmental differences, and chronic stress/burnout. I support my clients in their healing from deep emotional pain, mental health challenges, and self-esteem issues. I love partnering with people who are interested in their own potential.

My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care and neuro-affirmative core principles. I strive to create a safe and inclusive place for people of all genders, colors, backgrounds, cultures, sizes, and identifications.

I am deeply inspired by the human psyche and its capacity to heal. My training has taken me to places I never knew existed, all within the mind and body, accessible to all but understood by few. I am a lifelong learner and take pride in being insatiably curious and open to new ideas.

Her Story

Alexis found her calling at an early age, proudly carrying the title of Peer Counselor throughout high school. The training she received through this small club called Peer Outreach sparked something inside of her; she finally had the words to articulate what it was that gave her life a sense of purpose. At nearly 50 years of age, Alexis continues to tap into this source of energy for healing and derives immense fulfillment through helping others.

This curiosity surrounding healing and transformation led Alexis to pursue training in a variety of holistic modalities before obtaining her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. The relationship between mind and body has held an important place in her life and continues to shape her unique style of psychotherapy.

Throughout the years of personal and professional development, Alexis has found incredible wisdom through the study of the nervous system, especially in relationship to behavior. Raising two Autistic children has pushed her to learn everything she can about the body’s natural regulatory systems, and about what’s possible when you work alongside the body’s primal intelligence, instead of against it. This is what Alexis spends her time learning about these days, in addition to watching her plants grow, cuddling her pets, and walking in the rainy PNW.
